What is cathodic protection?
Cathodic protection is a method used to control the corrosion of metals in contact with an electrolytic environment (soils, waters, concrete).
It is the subject of works carried out by the Protection Cathodique Revêtement Associés (PCRA) committee of the Centre Français de l’Anticorrosion (CEFRACOR). The aim of CEFRACOR is to gather the organizations and the people involved in the behaviour of materials in their environment.
CEFRACOR, through its Department “Conseil Français de la Protection Cathodique” (CFPC), is in charge of the certification of persons working in this activity sector and it issues competence certificates in accordance with the registered label “CEFRACOR CERTIFICATION” in accordance with standards NF EN ISO/IEC 17024 and NF EN 15257.
